MPH was founded by Peter Mirandi in the 1990’s as a part-time venture to consult for small to medium-sized projects in the field of environmental public health. By then, his strong background and education as a public health generalist provided him with necessary qualifications and experience. At first, wastewater design engineers were in demand. So began MPH.
Several years later, as Mirandi was winding down his full-time career managing municipal public health programs, he returned to his mainstay as a food safety expert by teaching classes at North Shore Community College and wherever he could set up a class under the same MPH banner that had served him so well.
It was in this academic setting that he met Dennis Palazzo, an eager student with ambitions to become a food safety inspector. Dennis was a quick study – speedily learned the essentials of food safety inspections – and began finding jobs. Those jobs led to training opportunities. The training opportunities led to industry-accepted credentials.
Today, Peter & Dennis make up a team able to concentrate on serving small to medium-sized businesses as Food Safety Consultants.
Both Peter & Dennis draw on their technical skills as well as the disciplined work ethic they brought home from their military service. They find job satisfaction helping people solve problems in what they believe is an imperative global concern: Food Protection!
