PETER M. MIRANDI has a broad range of experience working within government food safety programs. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA Fisheries as a trainer of government inspectors and retail food managers while HACCP was being developed and implemented for the seafood industry in the 1980’s. He then moved on to management positions with local boards of health on Boston’s North Shore. Peter also served as an adjunct faculty member for many years at North Shore Community College where he is credited for certifying hundreds of students working as chefs, production managers in food distribution, and government inspectors.
He holds an undergraduate degree from the School of Public Health at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a graduate degree (MPH) from Boston University School of Public Health.
In 2008, Peter M. received the Robert C. Periello Award, New England’s highest professional honor to acknowledge the professional achievement made by a sanitarian in the field of environmental health. He remains a leader in his field through his broad network of colleagues and by maintaining his Registered Sanitarian/REHS credential with the National Environmental Health Association (certification #71015).
Peter is a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
